Communication is one of the cornerstones of progress. Before, during, and after your appointment we are here to answer any questions you may have. During your appointment we encourage you to communicate with your therapist, whether it be asking for more pressure, less, or an early stop to your appointment.
Our therapists are educators. They may have advice or homework for you to do at home as needed. We encourage our patients to take this to heart.

We sometimes use modern adaption of cupping therapy to pull, lift, open, and expand the body's soft tissues to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation, and well-being.

It is tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant people and their changing bodies. Deep Pressure Massage is used to break up scar tissue, muscle adhesions, bands and points of rigid and painful muscle tissue
which are common after an injury or surgical procedure.
These areas can inhibit circulation, causing pain and inflammation.
Deep Pressure Massage can also help lower cortisol levels and increase levels of oxytocin, a hormone that relaxes the body and produces soothing effects.
Deep pressure work on tissue can also help with physical symptoms of stress, tight muscles and tension headaches.

Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, specialized massage technique for a healthy lymph system that focuses on the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system. This type of massage aims to help the body maintain proper blood circulation, body fluid balance, and immune functions, helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues and reduce post-operative swelling.

Lymphedema work is similar to Manual Lymphatic Drainage but takes place with a lymph system that is overloaded or unhealthy.
Lymphedema work will require a referral from your physician.
Research shows that professional therapeutic massage can decrease pain, tension, duration, intensity, and frequency of headaches.
Massage also eases the muscle tension in the neck, jaw, and shoulders.
Your therapist may use heat or cold therapy to assist in easing your pain.

Red light and Near Infra Red therapy are surface treatments.

A red light therapy device does not harm the surface of your skin or the underlying tissue. You will be provided with light-blocking glasses to use during your appointment.
Please be aware that major contraindications for the use of light therapy are diseases that involve the retina of the eye, such as diabetes, and the use of photosensitizing medications like lithium, melatonin, phenothiazine antipsychotics, and certain antibiotics.

Auriculotherapy is a type of Reflexology using the exterior of the ear to treat pain and medical issues of the body with corresponding pressure points.
Auriculotherapy is non invasive and can be long lasting.
We use Earseeds (R) at our clinic, which use tiny seeds and a small piece of latex tape to provide constant, steady pressure.
Non-latex tape is available upon request.
